hello everyone,

I have a 6 ft long tank and woud like to know what brand and type of lighting you would recommend for a fish only (will be heavily stocked) with live rock tank?

currently, the housing for the light can take any 48'' fluorescent light and can handle one in each housing for a total of two. So I have been told to get one white and blue actinic, but do not know what brand would last a longer time and would do well for my fish and for my electricity bill too:rollface:

thanks for your help.

any light will do fine. fish don't care about what color. and you can run them till they burn out.

however I don't think you will see much coraline on the rocks with those lights.

Yeah, any light is sufficient. Unless you really want the colours to pop and you will eventually upgrade to a reef then get yourself a decent lighting unti now. It make things a little easier when upgrading if you are.

( FWIW, FOWLR has no E - Fish Only With Live Rock ;) )
