I have a 180 gallon tank. That will soon be a reef when I add some coral. Currently my inhabitants include a small Toby, 1 green chromis, and an orange fin tomini tang.
What should I add to the list? I'm looking for peaceful reef fish that will get along with the others.
A dwarf angel would be nice, or a pair of clowns if you plan to have a nem, they have great personality. If your tank is well established, Anthias are beautiful or a fairy wrasse. The possibilities are endless!:lolspin:
The tank has been setup and running for about a year and a half with 200 lbs of coraline covered live rock and 180 lbs of live oolite sand. I try to do a 30% WC every other month at this point because of the low bioload. I use instant ocean salt and occasionally dose oceans blend 2-part cal/alk. So im guessing it's established.
Like you said the options are endless that's why I'm looking for suggestions?
Midas blennys are extremely fun to watch. I highly recommend one.
They spend almost all day out swimming in the current, and at night they duck into a hole and kinda perch there. They are relatively inexpensive, peaceful, bright colored, and easy to keep.
They stay pretty small 4-5" so they don't add much bioload, you can still keep lots of other fish.
And thats why I'm trying to help? I stick by my original suggestion. Anthias are very beautiful and it sounds like you have experience so they shouldn't be hard to keep. I believe its one male per tank though.
