what do you think about the UV sterilizer? What does it do?

cons:

initial purchase price
kills good stuff as well as bad
take up valuable space in/around sump
if using separate pump - extra electricity & heat
something else to do maintenance on
another bulb to replace (6 months or so is average)

pros

none that i can think of - not really needed on a marine aquarium
