What do you want from Santa?

Got what i wanted..... well sort of.

I got called today asking if I would be willing to give a double red cell of A+ cmv- blood....

For those of you who don't know I work for OBI and we take your blood and give it to those in need.

What it meant in laymens terms is only 4% of donors are cmv- this means they are the only ones who can give directly to infants and premis.....

those of you who don't donate blood please consider signing up to give at Oklahoma Blood Institute and feel free to use my name (Ken Baugh) we both could not only save a life but also get cool goodies in the process.

I wouldn't mind finding a Ushio 70w 20K bulb for my BioCube. I had trouble putting a list together for my wife to pick from this year. I want a lot of things, but not really a lot that I would say is worth buying. The stuff that is worth buying that I want isn't in our price range, so no new awesome camera lenses or corvettes for me, haha. She got me some stuff, but i have no idea what it is. There are more boxes than list items and I know she didn't get me a bottle of scotch, so that makes it even more of a mystery. I guess I'll know in a couple of days.

I got her a bad *** kitchen aid mixer. She's been wanting one for a few years and she bakes all the time. I got one of the ones that normally price in at $400 for $220 on ebay as a factory refurb.

I just happen to know that hubby made a 75.00 purchase at the salt only LFS. Since I have the only SW tank in the house, I wonder who it could be for....???hmmm???
Nothing I haven't bought has shown up in the tank, so it must be a gift card!
Man, I should quit my day job and start solving mysteries!

...I'll let you know what I spend it on....:)

Ken,
I guess you and I have something else in common. I did that at our last blood drive. Only bad thing is when you do a double delivery you have to wait twice as long. I hate needles but that makes it worthwhile.

I have an allergic reaction to needles, I see them and shake and sweat all over.....

But I try to tell myself I am saving a life.....

I assume you work here at OBI... What department

No I did a blood drive at work at did the double dose thing. Then I got a letter telling me about it. I wouldn't give for years because the last time I gave I heard "Let her practice on him. He has great veins!". Not the words you want to hear.
