What does your tank room look like?

I notice quite a few of you have your TVs up high on the wall or cabinet. Isn't that an issue when viewing them? I'm curious because I have a regular one that sits on the floor, rather than a pretty LCD/Plasma.

my old RPTV sits on the floor due to the limited viewing angle, really no choice unless I placed on a platform angled downward but why. Plasmas and LCD have way wider viewing angles (also 180°) allowing them to be placed higher. Limit to how high is how much do you want to be looking up, comfort wise, when sitting on the couch watching.

My LCD is 5' to the bottom, not bad but the main couch is about 12' away.

well heres mine, its a dining room

Thanks! Here's another wall, which faces the end of the tank on the right side. The color you have is somewhat similar. I just painted this wall yesterday. Kitchen has new paint too.

And now it's time to replace that light fixture! ;) :D

I did. Where did you find those old pictures? Earlier in the thread perhaps? :fun4: The new one is in the more recent images, from Ikea - oh yeah.

Very nice rooms everyone ... this is my basement ... the first tank I started about five months ago. Just got a glass top and better light for it on Christmas. The in-the-wall tank is an African Cichlid tank I am currently converting to a fowlr tank. The fourth pic is the area before I put in the 38 gallon tank.

Thanks Markus ... I love fish! I think of my basement as my own little get-away and just a fun place to hang out! Has a refrigerator and bathroom so I neve have to leave! My wife thinks it is a bit tacky and won't let me touch the rest of the house ... not sure why!

Now that is a kick *** office tank!!!

How is the lion doing in the reef? Got a huge skimmer to keep up with him?

The lion is always hungry, he swallowed the husband of a clown. It's OK to keep one lion because the total water volume is over 700G. Here is the picture for the skimmer,
