What does your tank room look like?

Is that hard maple? Did you build it yourself. I love the grain and sheen.

20k bulbs I assume?

yes I built it myself, its just maple ply actually. and they are 14k evc bulbs that arent quite that blue but I am horribly disappointed with them.

It is hard to tell in this pic but this is an elongated den. I am standing inbetween the couch (left) and a fireplace (right) with the entertainment center next to it.

110 gallon is almost done cycling (hence the empty tank)

I have live sand in the tank. The display is going to be just decorations and fish. Going to be switching some rubble to the sump from my 29.

Nice rooms everyone!
Here's my office/sanctuary from the madness...

Thank goodness for wide angle lenses!

I have been looking for this thread. Here is my updated tank room. It used to have a 200 gallon tank in it. Then the bottom broke and fell out. Now I have a 90 gallon tank and new carpet throughout my entire house.

Wow Pikey!! That's a real bummer about losing a 200 gallon tank. You must have lost a lot of stuff. Were you home at the time? How did it break? I am glad to see you have recovered though. Keep the faith!

My wife and I were at work when it happened. By the time I got home, everything was pretty dry (except the carpet). The bottom glass broke and then proceeded to fall out. I lost almost everything, but I had a few corals, and clams survive.

All that water falling on those plugs. Lucky the house didn't go up in flames....

This is the setup I just took down for our move.

Scared the heck outta me each day it was up, but it never fell down!

This will be the sump in my new 220 setup.

Way back when this thread started I posted room pics and it was pretty much just 2x4 construction. I can finally post some updated pictures. The room still has some work to do such as covering the lolly columns and the tank opening needs to be trimmed and an access door added.

I started out with just four concrete slab walls for a basement.
