Heyy,
i just bought myself a aqua controller Jr
and now can watch my Ph. i know you're Ph will drop at night but
how much is normal? I was looking at mine yesterday and it dropped down to 7.8
then raised back to 8.4 the next day, Now thats a HUGE drop
This normal?

Hmm,
Would you think i should be upgrading the probe to the lab grade?
(I'm using the standard probe that came with the unit)

Mine drops to 8.3 at night.

Inversley lit refugiums are your friend. :D
Ahh,
=D The tank has only been set up for about a month now
and haven't set up the refuge up yet
just ordered some more macro algea and things to set it up with
Are these Ph swings dangerous?

Mine drops to 7.8 at night and then back up to 8.0 if I don't dose any buffers. If I dose then it takes a bigger swing.:(

Yes PH swings can kill.

Then my tank dies every day, during the day my PH is 8.1 at night it's 7.8, sure I would like for it to stay at 8.3 for ever and a day but everyones tank is different. My corals look better then ever don't stress it if you can find a way to keep it consistant then work towards that, I have a 15 gallon fuge on my 155 if it were bigger then the PH wouldn't drop as much but when I upgrade this year then it would be a different story. long story long-not a big deal.

Yeah but he's got a 6 point difference not 3.

I agree that 3 i wouldnt be concerned with, but 6 would get my attention.

I run 8.1 during day down to 7.8 at night. I have a nice size fuge on my 75 that is on a reverse photoperiod. My tank is rock stable with these levels. I dose 2 part each morning. I have an AC Jr. as well

Microalgea in a refugium illuminated on a daylight cycle opposite of the display aquarium help to stabilize the PH and oxygen levels.
This is on the Two Little Fishies Iron Concentrate Bottle.
