What fish are incompatible with clams?

Now I know lawnmowers won't coexist. What about Foxface clarkii clowns, clown goby yellow tail blue damsels, 6 lined wrasse Pajama cardinals and Yellow tang. What are your experiences with tankmates? Thanks

Oops, I left out Coral Beauty. She does not nip at any corals.

coral beauty is the worst candidate in that list, most of the others should be fine. Any angel is at risk of nipping at a clam's mantle.

the yellow's should be fine..mine has never bothered it..... also my angels are hit and miss... my flame angel has never touched my clam

I have a foxface,yellow watchman gogy and six-line with 14 clams and no worries.

I have never had any issues with lawnmowers and my clams (( both the "normal" lawnmowers, and a golden figi one ))

To date I have kept the following with my clams without issue
The two lawnmowers
Blue face angel
Potter's angel
Flame angel
Numerous clowns
Purple tang
tailspot blenny

Todd, I watched my lawnmower come up to my baby maxima and just take a chunk out of the mantle. You are lucky. I have to get rid of my blenny this weekend.

Wow, I wonder if it has anything to do with it was baby clam.

The closest mine have ever come is to eat algae off the shell.

It's just hit or miss. Fish are like people,different personalities.My LMB used to bite my mantles as well so I had to get rid of it. Alot of people have luck with blue hippos with clams but mine will bite the edge of mantle and leave a horseshoe shaped bite mark where it tore off a chunk of flesh

that's awesome that your potters or flame didn't nip at them. Flames are one of my fav's but just scared to chance it with the lps and clams because they don't regrow as fast as the sps. Also the thought of having to take 200lbs. of LR out to remove it is too much.
