What fish is this?

Hi guys,

I bought what I thought was a Red Coris Wrasse, and I know that these fish change colour as the mature; however, this fish has been basically pitch black since we bought it. We’ve had it for at least a year, and its colour has been pretty consistent. Is this a different fish? Ugly duckling stage? Curious to hear your thoughts!

Looks like a juvenile Queen Coris (Coris formosa) though it could just be a dark Red Coris (Coris gaimard). I think the only real way to tell will be as it gets older, the Red Coris will get the yellow tail.
