what fish next

so we have a 43 gal cube that has been up and running for 2 months

we have the following fish

4 clown fish
1 fire fish
1 Coral Beauty (Small)
1 Sailfin tang (real small)
also have a CUC

Would like to add just one or two more fish. looking for some ideas

I do have some coral Toad stool, Zoanthus, green star, and a elegance (all doing great). will be adding some more zoanthus and ???

right now all my levels are stable with a 5 gal water change every 7-10 days

Nit >5 phos .15 dkh 8.4. ammonia 0.

My first suggestion would be to remove the sailfin tang, before it begins terrorizing the others. I'm afraid your tank may be too small for any tangs. Fire fish like to be in groups, so consider adding a few more of those. An Algae Blenny may be helpful with algae.

I thought the Sailfin tang might get to big but the guy at my LFS said it would take years.

not sure who to listen to right now he is a great tank mate and does not bother any one

I think I am looking for a fish that stays towards the top of the tank to get some move in the upper part of the tank.

any help with that would be great

This is not on you at all, but that sailfin definitely needs about 120 gallons at least, and that is with minimal other fish in it. Keeping it in that small of a tank for extended periods of time, say six months, will prevent it to grow and overall make it more susceptible to disease as well as shorten its lifespan so it would be best to remove that as soon as possible, especially since it is a cube. Even smaller tangs like a yellow tang should be kept in a minimum 75 gallon.

With that said, your open water swimmers are somewhat limited. Free swimming space is a bit of a problem since they are not as long, if it was a breeder tank or something like that you could have gotten away with a McCoskers Fairy Wrasse or Sixline Wrasse. If you did want to get another fish after removing the tang, you could try a chalk bass or royal gramma. I would not recommend a damsel as the clownfish could become aggressive with those. A nice sleeper goby would add some nice movement along the bottom of the tank.
