What fish to add?

I have not added a fish to my tank in over 6 mos. and I am considering adding a new resident to my 210 reef tank.

I currently have the following:

1 Naso Tang
1 Yellow Tang
1 Foxface
1 Royal Gramma
1 Black Cap Basslet
1 6 line Wrasse
1 Algae Blenny

Most of these fish have been living together for over three years. I lost a convict tang and a Royal Gramma within a week of each other. They were original fish added to the tank so I think it could have just been age.


It could be something as simple as a group of chromies. Just looking for an active fish to add.


I was considering a Flame Angel or another wrasse but with my luck the 6 line will not get along with another wrasse.


Let me know your thoughts.

I don't know what corals/clams you have, but an angel or two would work with that list. You mentioned a flame angel, which should slot into that fish mix just fine.

Or how bout a group of Anthias mabey 4 or more, always beautiful looking fish in a reef.

I have a mixed reef. A lot of SPS and LPS. A few softies. Mushrooms growing all over that I would not minded if they were eaten. Very few zoas so that is not an issue. One nice orange rock anemone. I also have hermits and crabs as well some cleaner shrimp. Sorry I should have included that from the beginning.

my vote is on the flame angel, I have one in my reef and not only does he not touch anything, but I absouletly love him.

I am leaning towards a flame angel. I really considered anthias but the need to eat a lot makes it hard as I travel quite a bit. Flame angel and and possibly another tang. Tough call.
