What fish to add???

I have been having a little problem with hair algae lately. I have been doing water changes, less feeding, and turned the lights out earlier.

So... I am looking for opinions on a fish, crab, or something that will help eat some of it. I have a regal tang, a sixline, and a Seagrass wrasse now. It is a full reef tank with LPS and Softies.

Anyone???

The recommendations we've seen/heard/tried are some to all of the following:

Sea hares, lettuce nudibranch, tangs, some rabbitfish, hermits, mexican turbo snails, lawnmower blenny, bicolor blenny, black sail fin blenny, emerald crabs...

I have no doubt there are others out there, but those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head.

GET SOME TURBOS, THE SEA HARES ARE ALK FIDGITY, THEY WILL DIE IF THERE IS A QUICK DROP (MASSIVE WATER CHANGE) AND THEY CAN FUNK UP A TANK IF NOT REMOVED QUICKLY. BLUE LEG CRABS ARE GOOD TOO, BUT DON'T GET OVERSTOCKED, THEY WILL START KILLING YOUR TURBOS FOR THE SHELLS

I traded a couple of rocks off with GSP and Yellow Polyps on them for a Kole Tang. He is nipping at the algae already. I am also going to up my poluation of blue leg hermit and turbos and see how that goes.

Thanks

what is the root cause of your algea?

I haven't been checking my RODI water that I make at home with the TDS meter for a while and BAM.....

But I am getting water from the LFS and doing water changes every two weeks for a while. The fish or Crabs or both is just to help get rid of it faster in the main display

Forget snails get you some cowies you get them at ebay all most all the time

I saw some cowries there last week. Kinda neat lookin' creatures... I've seen more of them on necklaces than in tanks, tho... :D
