I have a 160 gallon reef that in the last year has gone from having one bubble anemone to well over 100 bta. They are everywhere! one of the powerheads even has 10 anemones on it. They range from quarter sized to about 4" across. No these are not aptasia or mojano, but green bta. started slowly and has exponentially grown. So I want to find a fish that will eat them, but not the other corals in the tank. Other corals inculde a large bubble coral, a large hammer, gsp, leathers, and a colt. I also have a few clams in the tank. Do any of you KNOW of a fish that will eat the bta, but not the other inverts in the tank? I don't want to put a fish in and then have to get it out with all of the rock in the tank.
my other option is to set up a 60 gallon tank and put several of the rocks at at time into the 60 with a couple of butterflies and a couple of angels. I was thinking of a falcula, racoon, queen angel and french angel or maculosus. Let the fish eat the anemones and then rotate rocks from the big tank to the small tank until they are all gone.
any thoughts on my situation/ideas?
