I want to add some more fish to my 300 gal mixed reef. I have a 5" sailfin, 5" blue hippo, 5" vlamingi tang and a 3" red velvet (rosy scale) wrasse. At this point I really dont want to get fish that will get bigger than about 6". I want to add some more wrasses but I dont know which ones are good. I want wrasses that will get bigger than 3" preferably about 5" would be nice. I also want non-aggressive fish.
Also other fish suggestions would be good.
TIA

I'll bite. You basically only have really large tangs. Are you asking specifically about a wrasse, or are you asking about all the other fish that you could get? If you are asking about all the other fish, with a tank that size I would not know where to start. Blennies, gobies, clownfish, mandarins, anthias, etc.

also some Halichoeres are ok for reef tanks.

Notably, H. Chrysus. They will pair too.

Halichoeres chrysus Randall 1981 (1), is a fish of two "good" and one bad common name. It should be called the Golden or Canary Wrasse for its bright bold sun-yellow color, but is most often listed as the Yellow Coris Wrasse (Arggghhh!, it is not a Coris genus member of course). This is an exemplary aquarium species that is suitable for peaceful fish-only and reef systems. To a mere 4 inches or so total length.

Halichoeres iridis Randall & Smith 1982, the Iris (Radiant) Wrasse

Halichoeres melanurus (Bleeker 1851), the Tail-spot Wrasse. West central Pacific. To five inches. (I have one of these myself)

Halichoeres ornatissimus (Garrett 1863) is (one of) the three " Christmas Wrasses" (2), aka the Ornate Wrasse to science.

Can Mystery Wrasses be kept in trios? Want to keep a trio of Mysteries or one these: Melanurus, Exquisite, Clown Fairy, Four Line Wrasse. Have yet to hear a positive yes or no on doability. :)

I cannot find anything on Mystery wrasse pairing. Only have looked for about5 minutes but usually come up with something.

You can have trio's of Melanurus, Exquisite, possibly the clown (talking the solorensis?), I would not the four line.

I really love my group of flame wrasses (C. jordani)
