Im starting to get into more corals and want to make sure I have proper flow around the corals. I have a 55 gallong tank and am not sure how much flow I should have. I dont want to buy something thats blowing the corals off the rock they are growing on but I also dont want to waste my money on something that barly flows at all. I have been leaning towards something like the Rio SEIO pumps unless someone has other idea's?

Thank You

Your desired flow will be a function of exactly what kind of corals that you want to keep. I have a little over 1600 GPH in my 58 g tank. This includes 2 Seio M620's that I have been very happy with.

Many people use the total GPH as a general guide to flow. Counting the return pump, I have ~1600 GPH flow in my 58g, so this means that I have nearly a 28x flow in my tank. For what iits worth, many people would consider this number a little low.
