Hello Everyone.... I am new to the hobby and was wondering what is a good food for fish, as of now i have none. I have a friend in Ny that got me into the hobby and he reccomends Rods food but cannot find anywhere that sells it in my area. Thanks for your help.

i use spectrum pellets for fish. I have a pair of clowns that go crazy for that...oh and i second rod's food too. Feed it to my DT and everything goes crazy

We live in zanesville, got one in coshocton. We can all get together and split the cost, make a few batches.

I use Mantis's DIY Food Recipe with a few of my own additions.

DIY Food Thread

In addition I add Mysis, a few dry/flake foods I have, Zooe, garlic cloves crushed.

I am going to need to make a batch here in the next two weeks, anyone interested in splitting a whole batch?

we are, what kinda cost are we looking at?

The brads DIY food one day then spectrum pellets and mysis shrimp the next else my fish get fat and lazy but if you forget to feed them they rearrange the whole tank by morning.

A full batch is around $60, so $30 each.

I have a bunch of fish, so it goes pretty quick for me. I feed a half ice cube per day between all of our fish.

Let me know when you are ready 3 fish it should last me ages

Give me a shout Gray. I have all of the stuff. I could definitely use a hand shelling the mussels, they did not have the pre-shelled ones.

I like to add some coral specific food to the mix. The cyclopeeze as well as cyclops and some reef chili.
This time I am going to add some Phyto paste I got from BrineShrimpDirect as well. It keeps frozen up to 6 months.

I picked up the spirulina, the jar was $23, but I have enough to last a decade.
Having several herbivorous fish, I may give it a double dose.
