What Glue To Use?

I want to make a refugium out of a 25 gallon tank for my 65 gallon tank, what glue/silicon should I use for the dividers...and should they be glass dividers or plexi-glass dividers?

either will work. just use 100% silicone, pet stores sell some that is for sure safe, but HD/Lowes also sells 100% that should be ok.

I feel if you can cut glass go for it, if not just use acrylic.

Glass will bond with silicone, so it's better to use that, but acrylic can be used with silicone on the glass as kind of a gasket between around the edges.

If you decide to purchase your silicone from Lowes or Home Depot, make certian that the type you choose DOES NOT CONTAIN THE BIO-GUARD MOLD INHIBITOR!

I made the (costly) mistake of using this type of silicone on my first tank upgrade back in 2006 and it nearly killed off all of my livestock (and I mainly had hardy softies/zoas/LPS... SPS would have been toast for sure)

silicone doesnt "bond" to anything. they stick pretty well though.

glass is usually cheaper so just use that with silicone.
