What goes in the refugium?

thanks to everyone who helped me on this. i went shopping today and got a 50# bag of the quikrete play sand for little$$$. Now i can put that money to good use in other parts of the tank. Thanks again

just rinse in a bucket, the roots, peices of wood, leaves, bugs, ect. will float up

give it a few good rinses
