What good Par for Sps

I know this is a hard question to answer since so many answers and so many different kind of SPS.....
We'll I just finished installing 6- AI sol blue LEDS on my 36" deep tank and on full blast I am getting 220-275 Par at top rock work and at the sand bed I am getting around 120-140 Par

We'll I know not 100% accurate reading with LEDs but when I had my 400W MH I was always getting close to 275-375 Par with great growth with a 27" height tank

My issue is I have low ceiling so I put light rack 12" above water line since if any lower it might be hard to work in the tank or add frags so I went to 12" since read a lot of post about that height for good spread but nobody had a 36" tank height..LOL

Not sure if I should go 8-10" At water line or see if I can make a light rack that moves up and down with some sort of motor

What is your Par for your SPS

With an ati powermodule I now get around 480-550 on the rock work.
Lower down where montis are 250, sand bed is 200 front of glass and 150 outside the module on edges.
Not sure if that will help, I am a believer that the more light the better, I understand there are arguments for and against. I just simply don't believe we can give the coral to much unless it's 1000w halides.

Using an apogee, I had coral outside when I still lived in Missouri. 1200ish at the surface and over 1000 at the bottom of the tank. Corals thrived outside for the 4 months that they were out there... softies too. Coralline covered that tank more than I have ever seen.

You cannot give them too much high quality light IMO... well, within the grasp of most hobbyists. If the light quality is so-so, then too much is bad.

When I really want some growth and color, I will put a second 3x250W HQI fixture over my 120G for a total of 6. This will test about 1000 at the top of the rocks and over 500 at the bottom. Everything does better with the second light.

When considering PAR, I might also suggest that you consider spectrum quality first.
