plenty.
i personally want to have opposing antisync pumps on my tank, where every 15-180 seconds they ramp between max and min. this way i get a clear and distinct 'wall of water' coming from one side, then shortly after, the other side. a 10% change every 10 minutes does not give a tank the look and feel of a wavemaker. i guess a second pulse mode with a larger scale would probably do it, though randomizing the period would be nice. with the current pulse mode, sloshing a few inches back and forth looks neat in videos, but unless you have other flow in the tank, that water goes almost as stagnant as if it was sitting there without *any* flow since it never gets mixed or blown up to the surface. and for most people the whole point of a vortech is to get other pumps out of the tank. if they had to drop an existing mode to fit it in, lagoon wouldn't be missed i think. if you look at the graph it doesn't really do much at all.
plus scheduling, so i can ramp the flow down significantly at night to let the fish sleep easier, run quieter so i can sleep, and extend the life of the wet bearing maybe. and schedule occasional 'storms' where it goes really crazy for xx minutes a few times a day.
if they don't have plans to make a dedicated master controller that gives these features (which was hinted early on as the original wave controller, though i agree the peer-to-peer hardware is a good starting point), then i'd hope they license or co-develop a wireless transmitter with at least neptune to run like the aquasurf does.
if nothing happens and there's no word in the next 6 months i'll probably look up giovanni's mods and do it myself to run off an aquasurf.
