I'd probably go with 2x 500w titanium heater.

I use 1 500w Catalina titanium heater. I'd probably take it out in February as it doesnt get very cold down here and my tank is a FOWLR.

most any heater now days is a good heater so long as you have them on a controller. Many ppl have gone thru several different heaters over the years. Some have had the same 1 heater for 10 years. where as other change out all their heaters every 2 years.

how cold does your room get? I have 7 tanks running and don't use a single heater. I have never observered much temperature difference.

I use 2 500w JBJ Titanium heaters for my 450g. Seems to be working ok.

2nd the 500w jbj. my buddie converted a hot tub in his garage into a reef and runs 3x 500w off a reefkeeper and hes fine with 2 degree weather outside. i run 2 x300w on my 150g and there not on much. 2nd heaters more for back up as 1 alone will work to heat it. really depends on the ambient air temp of the room its in.
