I just finished testing all my water parameters and everything is reading at exactly what I would like/expect. I have a 2 month old 55g fowlr set up with 2 clowns and an army of snails and hermits. All seem to be loving life here. I’ve only had the fish for about 2 weeks. Some of the food I have provided has been frozen and freeze dried brine shrimp. Both crabs and fish seem to really love this. My water has more fine particles in it then it use to, its not as crystal clear. I see the crabs seem to spit fine debris into the water. I think this, and possible residuals from feeding, are what I’m seeing. Can I assume that this a sign of a healthy and normal environment or is it a sign that my skimmer is not up to par?

I’m not considering adding corals this year. The skimmer seems to extract a nice amount of dark skimmate.
