What HOB filter for a 25 gallon ?

Im looking to get a deep blue rimless or a mr aqua rimless tank. The biggest I would go is 25 gallons. Im not real familiar with HOB filters, I've always used skimmers in the past. I was looking for quality, size and price as well as noise.

I dont really care how tall the filter is, I just dont want it that deep. Im trying to put it as close to the wall as I can.

I want good quality, and places for media. Only going to have 2 clowns and maybe a small goby or something, and coral.

And its gonna be in the bedroom, so I dont want the pump noisy. I dont care if I hear rippling water, just not the pump.

I was looking at the Aqueon Quietflow 30, mainly because its not expensive and its "quiet"... but I need some advice on which to get. Any help would be appreciated !

Aqua clear by fluval is the best imho. Get the 70 and run the sponge, chemi pure, and toss the little white media. Live rock will take the media's place.

I would get a Aqua Clear from Fluval they can be bought at Petco and Petsmart and some of the sponsors. The good thing about these is you do not have to use there pre made filters you can make your own. They have lots of different sizes.

no comparison in filtration but I can't comment on noise... actually the penguin is dead silent iirc the aqua clear is not but by no means is it noisy.

Ac70 is a good choice but they have one thing that bugs me (I also just put a AC50 on my 29g *avatar* for chemical media only) is they make a lot of micro bubbles & you literally need your water level as high as you can get it or mod the return slide and make it longer.

Other than that its the best hob filter hands down, the filter sponge is great if your using it, you'll never buy filter cartridges again, and the up flow design is good for chem media.
