What I miss about my old tank.

Now that I have given up my 75G tank and have lived a while with a 24G nano, there are some things I miss (even though I enjoy the easier maintenance). Sure, I miss the large frogspawn dominating the middle of the tank and the little green-spot mandarin wandering around getting fat on pods. And my behomoth, ancient maroon clown. But more than anything miss my leviathanithic starfish with a 36" arm spread and head the size of a morgan silver dollar -- just sitting in the middle of the rock and feeding himself from whatever flowed through about 75% of the tank. Some creatures you love just because you imagine they could crawl out of the tank and slaughter you in your sleep should you forget to change their water or feed them enough.

I tried to keep him and my maroon clown when I went down to a 24G tank. The clown took offense to him in the close quarters and shredded him. Also, the clown has gone on to a better place (a 180G tank in Chattanooga).

Hmmm. About 6" long and 2"+ thick or so. Actually was mostly mild-tempered before I put a baby maroon from S.A. in there, then she got all protective of him.
