What is a china rbta???

Well I was looking to buy are rbta around my area and someone mentioned china rbta. Whats that?

There were some RBTA's imported from china a few years back that had a green oral disc and tended to brown out pretty quickly, IIRC.

When these were introduced to the market RBTAs were selling for $300+. Their introduction crushed the price, IIRC. Mine never browned out.

my lfs gave me a heads up a few months before they came in to unload my rbta's's's... they knew i grew to hate them lol. i don't remember any of them browning out. but do remember them lacking the bright hot pink tentacle ends and green oral disc of my rbta's.

They are essentially dyed BTA.

Apparently someone found a huge clone field of these RBTAs a few years ago and flooded the market for a couple years to the point where they were actually cheaper than nice GBTAs in some places. In some cases they did brown out a bit and got a bad reputation, but others stayed very nice.
In order to get the prices of RBTAs back up dealers started noting the collection spots of RBTAs charging more for those collected in Indonesia, etc. You also started hearing the term "True RBTA" to distinguish them from the "China RBTAs"(which are just as much RBTA as anything else).
I appears that the pendulum has swung back and green disked RBTAs are now a hot item for those who don't remember when they were $40.

Back in the day RBTA's were close to being like a Red Carpet almost. Primary way to get one was a clone.

I recall one shady guy selling his clones sometime back.......

I remember when I first bought that nem and I wasn't even sure if it was a bta or not and asked Dr. Ron to ID it for me, what a newbie. Oh, and RC's resident chemist bought it, I was so honored (and nervous) to have a mod buy something from me. :smokin:
