I acquired two starfish last weekend of the same type (orange with black tips), and they have been fine all week. This morning, I have found one that appeared to be split on the top with orange beads coming out of it. the legs still seem to be moving but I am concerned that the starfish is dissintegrating.
Is this the case and should it come out of the tank? I am a little naive as far as starfish are concerned. The literature I have doesn't seem to cover ailments or pests.
