i was wondering what IS mode is and what does it stand for. some of the camera that i've been looking at have that option and some dont so was just wondering what that was.
If it's a Canon, IS is "Image Stabilization." It's a lens feature that compensates for "camera shake" to allow you to get clear shots at slower shutter speeds than you normally could get.
