What is it and more importantly, how do I get rid of it

Some type of algae?, diatom?, or dinoflagellette? I believe it is a dinoflagellete, but I would like input. Also how do I get rid of it? I'm afraid it's going to smother all my coral. I know there's turf algae in the picture, but I'm referring to the stuff coating it.

Dinoflagellates. I remember cause everyone says it looks like snot.

I'm sure the removal methods are going to be:

1. water change(s)
2. Siphon it out
3. GFO for phosphates
4. cut down on feeding

You're probably going to get pretty standard answers I imagine. Sorry i can't be more of a help.

okay...thanks..that's what i figured. I've been doing all that, but it has only gotten worse. I went away for the weekend, and haven't had a chance to test my water yet, but before I left everything was at 0. It managed to kill a Green's Bird Nest over the weekend..grrr

And flow :) Considering there are bubbles developing there...

I would say that, except that I imagine that moving it with flow is really just making a temporary or local solution to a problem that'll just develop somewhere else in the tank. Better to treat the disease than the symptoms, ya know?

thanks...i actually just started a very similar treatment plan today..luckily mine is not anywhere near that bad
