what is it- is it reef safe

Bought a shaving brush plant today. When I got home, this was in the bag.

It is about 1/2 an inch across.

Looks like a baby brittle star, but don't want to put it in my tank until I know for sure

yup its a brittle star and yes its reef safe.

Your lucky, those tiny Spnge Brittle stars are really neat. Once they find a place to live, you can feed them and they'll grow. They won't harm anything and are perfectly reef safe. They come really commonly with corals and live rock.

Brittle star. I had several of these hitch hikers on my live rock.. I see them very little now only at night. They are growing though. Very cool and reef safe.

wish I had found it hard to get around here I have 1 small purple one the size of a 50cent piece started out the size of a dime came on a piece of live rock didnt notice it for weeks havent found one since
