What is it (pics)

Hi everyone.

I noticed this little growth on one of my clams shells and I wanted to know if you think it is a coral growth that spread from a nearby sps or something bad.

Nothing new has been added to the tank for months and corals are growing nicely.

Give me your thoughts. The growth is about 1cm now.

Below is a picture of the thing as well as the sps that i think it could be a baby of.

That is not a baby coral. It's actually a type of algae called Neomeris annulata. It can be pretty invasive so, if I were you, I'd shut off my pumps and very carefully pull it off the clam with tweezers or forceps. Grab it at the base where it attaches to the shell and pull it off. You'll probably have more pop up here and there over the next couple of weeks.
 
Removed it, any other thoughts? think i saw something similar under some other rock so i removed it also
