Hello,

Long time reader first time poster.

So I'm in the very early stages of planning my 125g build. Step one Wife's approval...and that's where I'm at LOL..... I acquired a free tank and stand that my wife's bosses were going to THROW away(1 year old) because they didn't want it anymore.

Anyway during my research I came across this picture. I thought it was a neat pic. I was just wondering what is that fish coming out of the sand? I don't think I've seen it before in my travels.

Thanks for your time...and the incredible amount of info supplied by each one of you. The knowledge is just incredible

You'll need a sand bed that is about 12-18" deep with a lot of open space. They also do better in groups. Basically in hobby size tanks you would need a dedicated species tank.

A Blue Spot or Yellow Head Jawfish is a very cool fish who will build and live in a burrow somewhat similar to the garden eel. Very beautiful fish with a TON of personality. They are also not the easiest to keep, but not impossible.
