Advice , please. New to hobby and inherited a 75 gal tank ...all seemed well until about 3 weeks ago...
Noticed a flat Black spot over the left eye(on forehead) of my Clark Clownfish and Right eye slightly "popped".Spot was just smaller then a pencil eraser. No other black spots or "peppering" so I did not think it was black spot disease.
Removed him to a QT..with a fresh water dip on the way to the
QT. Dropped the salinity slightly. Treated with Instant Ocean Lifeguard on advice LFS. The "spot" started to erode..became red in center, then looked "scabby" so I figured it was healing.
However, ...a week later it has not improved.
Fish was not eating for a few days...sulking in corner, etc. But is now back on food but definitely not happy...(probably stressed form the new tank and frequent water changes, etc.)
I did a course of MaracynPlus last week and now the spot is very
"warty" looking and "greyish".. NOTwhite and cauliflower-like....
I can't figure out if it is fungal, bacterial, or parasite or what I should do next.
Thanks in advance for any advice...Sure hate to lose this fish...
