I tried to film it, but of course a watched pot never boils.
One of my clownfish was violetly shaking or pulsating a little to the side and lower of my other clownfish...as I type this they are doing it again...anyways what does this mean? Should I be concerned?
Sounds like pre egg laying behavior. Put a ceramic tile in the tank. It seems to stimulate them into laying eggs. When I put one in my tank, the female started doing the "dance" you describe.
i'd be surprised if any of the other fish ate the eggs unless the parents were completely overpowered - they will ferociously defend the nest. Although I could see a sea urchin or an abalone just plowing thru there.
maybe some one on here can help me out with my clown fish problem?
ive had two percula clowns for about 4 days now and the larger one is is fine. when i came home from school today i found the smaller one in the front corner of the tank swiming into the glass like it was going against the current. all of its fins are down and it swithced to the other corner of the tank about half an hour ago. ever since that happend the larger clown has been hovering over the one that looks sick. he isnt laying on the subtrate but instead he is just swimming right over it.
sry for the really long question.LOL but i am also coserend about them and would like to find out whats happening
