What is name for Macro Algae

I have some green macro algae in my fuge and I forgot the name. I though it started with a P but I am not sure.

It is like a messy loose clump of yarn, very thin like spaghetti and may even be described as looking like a loose spaghetti ball as well. Do you know what this kind is called.

Sounds like a Chaetomorpha species from your description, but there are thousands of species of algae and I'm sure several others match the spaghetti description...

There are 49 species in the Chaetomorpha genus listed at the Swedish Museum of Natural History site. (I don't know them to be the final authority, just one online source.)

Yep, I think it is a type of Chaeto., It could be a penicillus, but I don't know.
