What is T5 light???

I heard a lot of ppl talk about T5 light, from the picture I see it look almost like the powercompact light. What the diff between them? With the T5 light, can I keep sps? And where to buy the T5 light for cheap and how much do I need for my 55g tank?

its basically ultra efficient flourescent lighting. the efficiency is made through the reflectors. it emits lower heat as well compared to any other light except leds.

How many T5 light do I need for my 55 g tank(same size as 40g tank but taller)?

You would need the 6 bulb fixture to keep SPS in that tall 55 gallon
