what is that stuff?

I just picked up a couple new additions from a very nice local reefer and suddenly there is stringy stuff coming off two of them - a cap and an incredible hulk. Water parameters are good, temp at 80, salinity spot on 35 .%

I glued both using loctite gel superglue

sorry for the poor quality, I miss-placed my digital and had to use the phone.

any thoughts?

How did you acclimate them? The sliming is fairly normal and is a stress sign.

About 30 minutes floating along with changing out a bit of water every 5 minutes. Only the ones I glued seem to have this, Im wondering if it is air exposure related, those saw more than the ones which were already mounted.

ya the stringy slimy stuff is a stress sign. they all do that after theyve been broken off. itll go away by tomorrow. let me know if i can help ya out anymore

you still might want to drip acclimate in the future anyways
