What is the green stuff on my seahorses head?

I noticed this about two weeks ago and it has not gone away. Algae....Possible but I'm not sold.

yep algae It is very common and not a big deal unless it gets really bad, then it can be brushed gently off with a very soft bristled brush.

It is a Brown one that lives in salt water....

HA! I kill me.

I don't know actually. I got them at the LFS and I have not identified them yet.

Anyone know what kind these are?

From the chest and markings, I'd guess erectus, but you don't really ID horses from the depth of their chest or their markings.... People would really need to see a nice full length profile shot, along with a close up of the head and one of the cornet (top of the head.) Photos have to be clear to be helpful (and, although it may seem as though your horses don't move a lot, they always seem to move when you want a clear photo.)
