Hello,

Im new over there and new on this hobby also (3 days so far), I added liverock on my tank and I noticed something inlaid on the liverock which is moving especially when its dark, I took some pictures, if someone could have a look and tell me what is that. :celeb1:

When the light is on he protect himself with his shell bus as soon as the light is off he move a lot and open his shell a little, but it would be interesting if he would move away from his place. He will always stay stuck there or I have some hope for he move over the tank ?

Okay it seems you are right, I have check a little and it looks like a barnacle.

they do not they need a huge amount of food from the water column that it would pollute your tank.

I've had barnacles live for years in my tanks..
I've had them right in the middle of frogspawns, favias, gonioporas,etc..
Usually fairly small though about the size of a marble.. (their cirri (feathery "arms?") about 1/2" long or so)

I had barnacles alive for close to a year. They are filter feeders -- so many tanks won't support them. Mine didn't make it because barnacles seemed to be my mantis shrimp's favorite food.
