What is the best type of sand for a Haddoni

I am setting up my system with plans for one of the tanks to eventually house a Haddoni with my GSM's. The tank will also be planted with macros.

So what is the best type of sand to use? Will the "Special Grade" reef sand be good? Or is that too big of a grain size for that deep of a sandbed. I would be a little worried about detritus buildup.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I used fine sand that was a little bit bigger than sugar.Dont use crushed coral though.

Yea, it was a bit pricey, but it was a snowy winter day (( 8" on the ground and still snowing )) when I bought it. That LFS only being 5 minutes away made the price worth it -- was setting up the tank that day and didn't want to wait for an online order.
