What is the best way to mount Zoo's for Fragging later on?

I have always just put the frag of zoo's on my main live rock in the tank. Is that the best way. I would like to be able to frag them later and won't that make things harder later on when I go to try and fragging them?

i use flat live rock peices are dead montipora cap skeleton to let them grow out on. i break the skeleton and can dictate almost exactly how large i want the frag. finding the right rock/skeleton to do this is difficult. ive tried tile, but that seems to be difficult as well.

I gave up on that idea a while ago. Originally, we were very careful as to how we placed colonies, constantly keeping up on fragging to prevent them from growing on the main structure of the rock work to make fragging easy. After things were balanced ever so carefully, we introduced some fish that put things out of balance, and flipped them over. Now, we just glue things to larger rocks, and then when fragging comes, we'll pull off some frags right in the tank.
