What is the best way to rinse aragonite media?

I just got in my geo 6x18 calcium reactor with ARM large grain media and wanted to know how to correctly rinse out the media?

Just use RO if you're worried about contaminating it. I can't wait to see the reactor setup! what are you using to feed it?

I guess walmart at 2am works wonders. I bought a pasta strainer and it works great for keeping the large grain media in and leting the sand fall into the sink. The reactor and media just came in today so I am hooking it all up right now.

On another note, I drilled through the wall a few days ago and am going to start plumbing everything tomorrow. Then I will install the calcium reactor.

A lot of people suggest an overnight soak in RO/DI to help get phosphate out of the media.
