What is the best way to use Prazipro as a preventative?

As the title says, when bringing in angels primarily and treating them with Prazipro as a preventative treatment in QT, is it best to dose the tank, or as a food additive?

Thanks in advance,

I dose the tank. I do two seven day courses with a 50% water change in between. As far as I know, dosing the food will not help with external flukes, which are somewhat commonly seen on angels.

To build on the last post, I sometimes go 10 (or even 14) days between treatments if I suspect Neobenedenia...since they are egg layers, I want to make sure that any eggs have had a chance to hatch before hitting them with the second course. The dose should be 2 to 2.2 ppm, b ut I don't don't think that Prazipro is dosed in ppm, so I guess you would have to rely on the label instructions.

Jay, Do you know if/how praziquantel is broken down or absorbed by substrate over time? I've always done 7 day treatments per Prazipro instructions.

LargeAngels,

The problem is that I use praziquantel powder, so I have to be careful extrapolating that over to Prazipro...there may be differences that I'm not aware of. The 10 to 14 days between treatments is just used in cases where I'm pretty sure that Neobenedenia has had a chance to lay eggs in the tank...otherwise I often opt for 7 days betwee the two treatments, if for no other reason than to keep things moving along in regards to the quarantine process.
