What is the min light for ricordias?

I have a 65w pc 50/50 and a 15w blue actinic on my 40g and have tried rics but with no sucess. I have tried the first one in the bottom, then the middle because of flow. I am curiuos if it would work at the top? Maybe I was missing something else, I didn't use any phyto or reef solutions trace element suplements then. I started that after my ric tries and my other shrooms really took off and colored up nicely.

My ric floridas do just fine under similar lighting. They're about 7 - 8 inches below my dual 65W power compacts, directly under the strongest part of the light.

Thanks, I think I am going to go dual pc's the next time I have an issue either ballast or bulb. Is the color good, mine always got faded then detached. I will be doing a 150g later this year then move the pc's to the fuge. I just don't want unused equip. I can't rally use mh or t5's with my hood and don't want to fab another for this tank.

So far my rics have kept their color pretty good, one has even colored up more than when I got it. One ric has lost some color, but it was already kind of "ugly" anyways. Even ugly rics are cool looking though

I have a dual 65w PC Coralife system as well and my ricordia seems to be happy .. Although I have noticed the color really pops with the blue LED's more than the other lights in the system .. I am adding a Coralife T5 blue to the system to see if that makes the color pop more ... I have a 36 gal bowfront tank and the ricordia is up mid way or higher in the tank

They look best and do very well under halides. The true colors show!
