What is the most nutritious food to feed my LTA?

That will depend upon the species and even the individual anemone. Some do better with fish meats, others with crustacean meats. Still others do well with practically anything. Personally, mine prefers the first.

Interesting.

I was thinking about getting some fresh seafood at my local fish market.

What exactly shoud I buy?

Fresh seafood works, but if possible, try to offer the whole prey meat (as in different parts--head, organs, etc., not the whole fish, etc.). I use silversides for my H. crispa and that is more than enough to satisfy any nutritional demand. So basically, anything that is whole like that is preferable over fillets, steaks, etc.

Shrimp, scallops, fresh sushi grade tuna, and squid. I feed my purple LTA all this..but not all at once of course. It gets a big meal once a week and what ever fish food that slips past the fish.

hey dan im gonna be making my own food here soon. If we could get rods food here i would be dancing cause its been nothing but praised all over rc. Maybe we should talk to some people around here to see if we can get it in but anyways....

i'm gonna be making my own food, cyclopeze, shrimp, scallops, formula 1 and 2, mysis, krill, brine, silversides and possibly some prawns and squid. Once i make it i will give you some if you wanna try it out...hopefully wont be a phospahte bomb or nitrate bomb or anything along those lines...

as for right now im feeding my crispa shrimp and silversides and starting to color up alot

Yeah that would be sweet! Might have to talk to Patrick about that one.

I am gonna give silversides a try and see how that works.

Would shrimp be more nutritious than krill?

RODS
