What is the next "IT" fish?

I think the breeders will finally learn how to captive-breed Zebrasomas and start producing cool color variants.

The blue spotted jawfish maybe becoming more popular, but I vote to rename it the blue spotted jumped fish.

Agree, mine jumped:sad1:

I like that pic of the potters angel. I think its a great looking fish.
I don't think that was a Potters. It's a more rare angel I believe. I do also want a Potters eventually.

I think you are reffering to the Interruptus Angel on the first page. They are rare and hard to keep so these could be the IT fish if they start doing better.

Maybe someone will finally collect this guy (aka coolect shrimp goby EVER!). I'm sick of only seeing them in dive shots

Lumpsuckers!

You beat me to it! Ever see any pics of bright purple, pink, green or red ones? I wish I could remember the website I first saw them on... I've heard that there is a lab somewhere using them to study something, and that these folks are actually breeding/rearing them! They are supposedly part of an "oddities" temp exhibit right now at the Oregon Coast Aquarium, for those who are close enough to check it out.

The latest issue of Coral Magazine has a feature about them, but they are more of a cool-temperate species and get big, so not much of a reef tank fish. They look hilarious when they are small, though.

Doesn't appear to be terribly rare...not sure why I've never seen one in an aquarium....

Because they are the shyest goby on Earth! Most pictures were taken either with a long tele-macro lens or a remote controlled camera, or both. The only time I ever got near one was with a rebreather, so the goby could not hear me coming. If you get closer than 8 ft they are gone.

No way are they more shy than Priolepis nocturna, which I see for sale all the time now.
