What is this alien like thing

My clown has been happily living in my 55g mixed reef for 2 years problem free. Now he has this alien like protrusion coming out of him right behind his front fin. Does anybody have an idea what this is? I sat there for half an hour trying to get a good shot of it, this is the best I could get. All the other fish appear to be fine.

its getting bigger by the hour it seems like. If somebody has any ideas please post.

Does it seem like an absess, or a tumor growth? The pic is too blurry for my vision.

it sticks out about 2mm and it came to a gray/brown point, but now the point of it looks like it fell off leaving a large clearish bump. The fishes stomach is also very bloated. he is still acting normal and has a ravenous appetite.
