I have something in my tank that I haven't a clue what it is and no one in our local forum here has a clue either. Some think it is some sort of snail, I think it is some kind of pod. They have been in my tank for over a year and although some are smaller they only get to the size of a pin head and there are hundreds of them in my tank. It used to be they would only come out when the MH lights went out, now I guess because there are so many, you can even see a few during the day on the glass and the live rock. Ok, on to what they look like: They are small, white oval shaped with two antenna on one end, kinda tall for their size and like I said about the size of a coarse grain of sand, I call they little white packets of protein for something that would eat them. Thinking that they are some sort of pod, I bought a Mandrain fish say three weeks ago. I have spent a lot of time watching her, to see if I could catch her eating one of these things, no go. She will peck at the live rock right next to one of these things, but I have never seen her eat one, she appears to be getting enough to eat though. I would take a pic for ya'll, but they are to small for my camera to get a good pic, I have tried. I have put a magnifying over one that is on the front glass and I can't really tell if they have legs or if they move like a snail. I have cleaned the glass at times a knocked one or two loose into the tank water current and had a fish eat one, and then spit it out. That's about all the info I can give you, anyone have an idea?
