Today I noticed pink feather duster like polyps extending from the plants located on the rim of the unknown "coral". Could this be a sign it is a filter feeding organism or is this normal for these kind of plants.
Your plants on the "unknown" coral look like colonies of hydroids, with the white branch tips being the polyps with tentacles. They are suspension (or filter) feeders. Not sure what the blurry pink mass is on the right and center colonies.
