What is this on my rock?

Never seen this before, anyone know what it is. If I reach in the tank, it retracts itself inside the rock.

Many methods are available. I suggest buying Aiptasia X. It kills them dead in short order and doesn't harm your tank chemistry. The bad thing is they reproduce sexually and asexually so if you mess with it and don't kill it, it will reproduce very fast.

YouTube Aiptasia X and you will find some satisfying videos!

Lemon juice has been used by many as a treatment for aiptasia...
I'm not sure how much you used or how you applied it but when used for spot treatment and direct syringe injection it shouldn't cause any problems..

Excessive amounts though (of any chemical really) could cause problems..

There are many ways to kill an aptasia but if you have 1 there is a good chance there are more. Get some peppermint shrimps so they will kill any more that pop up.

Lemon juice has been the only method I've since being in this hobby. I have had no ill effects for using it.

My vote is for using a syringe and boiling water. 100% effective 100% of the time.

Cheap and easy. I even bought a useless peppermint shrimp that completely ignored my aptasias. It has now become a close friend that I feed by hand and all.
Shoot the thing at the heart with boiling water in a syringe.

You got Lemon juice from Youtube?

+1 for Aptasia X. I've had Aptasia appear twice, both times Aptasia X did its job. The second time the Aptasia had actually managed to grow between a Goniopora that was just starting to split into two seperate colonies... The Goni didn't even seem phased by the chemicals.
