Real interesting. I'd put it in the sump and give it a little food now and again until you can get it id'ed It's pretty.

Somewhat looks like a tiny florida horse conch (Triplofusus giganteus). I think juvis of that species has orange shell (and mantle) and adults have orange mantle. Shell shape is similar as well.

Here is a picture of a subadult;

Yours is probably much smaller than this (orange one) :)

Oh, anything that sinks. if it is a horse conch, it's not a true conch, and will eat other snails and hermits, so he may not be what you want in your reef. Grows up to 2' in length, but not real fast. Curiosities can live safely in the sump. He might appreciate a little raw shrimp now and again if you decide to keep him.

Duuude..I haven't had much luck with my hitchhikers. They are pretty and cool but dangerous. :)

Thanks!

Its probably a horse conch, here is a picture i found for a small shell. It has the white spot at the end like yours.

Like Sk8r said, these are snail eaters. You can try to feed it with meaty foods and it would probably eat them, but You cant keep it with other snails. Plus they get 2 feet long. If have a sump, you can try to keep it there and release it to the Florida water when it gets too big.
